kinda weird that they're using this for haiti, since this song was originally written for kurt cobain.

i guess i like r.e.m. too much to give this version a fair listen.

It's alright, not really a big fan. Hope it does quite well and raises a load of money anyway though

Thought this was sick joke when I saw the title. Didn't know about this, cool. The video is so out of sync with the lyrics though.

bit patronising telling them they all hurt, im sure they know this themselves without some stupid cover to a depressing song to remind them

I read that it was a suicide song? :S

it was written in part directed to kurt cobain in '93, as r.e.m. was very good friends with him and michael stipe knew he was struggling with suicidal thoughts. dunno why it fits with the situation in haiti though.

well yeah but i think they're aware of that lol, i actually find it almost insulting if you think about it, easy for us to say that everyone hurts sometimes. i think they should have chose a bit more of an optimistic song, but thats just me i guess.

I guess teh bottom line is that money will be raised for the cause through this. That is all that matters at the end of it, despite the poor choice of song.

Yeah, I agree with RedStratocas but at the end of the day, the Haitians will probably never hear the song themselves anyway.
