Is this the superhero movie I heard Nicolas Cage was doing? Looks like a comedy though? :S

Misawa

It is a comedy. A friend of mine at Universal said it's absolutely BRILLIANT. I've been invited to a press screening this month, can't wait!

My friend said the same about Cage, and I would too, but he said it's a great performance. Surprisingly good.

Raising Arizona, which I thought he was actually very good in. He obviously received good direction from the Coen brothers though.

Was watching the NBA All Star game last night and they did a little interview with christopher mintz-plasse (mclovin) and then showed the trailer for this. Looks pretty weird. Some of the preview scenes on youtube have called for it to be edited and stuff. Nicholas Cage looks hilarious.

So the 'We' in 'We have signed Posters and to give away' is ScreenGrabber?

The actual article you refer to seems to have been written by this guy:

Who also seems to have written the reviews for inglourious-*******

Do you work for ScreenGrabber in some sort of capacity?

Misawa

The 'we' is collectively referring to the team who run the website Screenjabber.com, film and television media and review website, which I write for.

That is the Twitter of the owner, managing editor and co-founder, Stuart.

Naturally, there are reviews up of Inglourious *******s. What of it? He wrote one, and so did another writer.

The competitions article was written by me and posted by Stuart onto that page.

Am I personally giving away the prizes? No. Is Stuart? Yes. Am I responsible for having the prizes because of my relationship with Universal Pictures? Yes.

Anything else?

Pretty good film to be honest, the action/violence was immense and the soundtrack was fantastic. I was slightly disappointed by the lack of comedy to be honest, it reminds me of so many films such as Youth in Revolt where it's meant to be a comedy and the whole storyline is very funny, but there's no points where everyone in the cinema was laughing. Quite a lot laughed at the odd amusing killing in Kick Ass (The bazooka for example xD) but it wasn't laugh out loud stuff like The Hangover for example. Green Zone remains my favourite film this year.

Couldn't help but think this comparison through the whole film; Chris D'Amico (Red Mist) and Michael McIntyre :P

I saw it yesterday and wasnt sure how it would be. but i was pleasently suprised at what a good film it was. It isnt that much off a comedy but there are a few laugh out loud moments towards the start and then it turns into more of an actuall superhero film which i felt was great! 5/5

Ebert seemed to have some strong opinions:

Shall I have feelings, or should I pretend to be cool? Will I seem hopelessly square if I find “Kick-Ass” morally reprehensible and will I appear to have missed the point? Let's say you're a big fan of the original comic book, and you think the move does it justice. You know what? You inhabit a world I am so very not interested in. A movie camera makes a record of whatever is placed in front of it, and in this case, it shows deadly carnage dished out by an 11-year-old girl, after which an adult man brutally hammers her to within an inch of her life. Blood everywhere. Now tell me all about the context.

I may have a look at it, it doesn't sound like I expected.
