.. sell an old coin? I've got the 1/2 penny. I heard you can get few hundred.. but I have loads so why not give a shot at trying to sell it?

Hmm.. I'd try ebay maybe. I'd prefer specialist dealers but dont know any local ones.

How much you reckon I'd get for it?

LOL LOL. My teacher was like "They are worth £100's! If you sell them all, you could buy a brand new car!!"

I wasn't convinced, but it was worth a try.

i got one from 1700s tru storeeeeeeeeeeeeee. (not swiss)

It's ironic to think that you could have a 20 pence piece from just last year in your pocket that could be worth a fair bit :P.

I have some old austalian coins and some english ones i use you collect them theres only one i would get now if i saw it and that's the £5 coin...

I've have loads of them £5 coins. You can get them changed to sterling at banks or supermarkets (Y)

I've got this quite weird coin. Its the shape of a 10p coin, but on the back it says 5? :D

Do you mean the ones made without a date on? The ones worth about 7 grand when they first realised. Idk what they are worth now

Yep. I know of two people who came across one; the first had his from early '09 or late '08 but decided to keep it and the other only got his a few months ago. I don't think they're worth anything much now, compared to what they were at first anyway.

Its funny though the amount of people who i knew working in shops checked every 20p to see if it was one without a date loool

Yeah that's exactly what I would have done lol. It's how one of my mates got his - from working in KFC :)
