I really love this book and Flim. I'm not really a fan of reading books imo but so far this is the only book that i have really enjoyed reading.
Anyone else read the book/watch the film?

Seriously, i recommend reading the book, it's so intense throughout and there's the occasional funny bits. :P

Nice. What does she think of it so far?
I did Of Mice and Men for my GCSE text and I really liked it. I actually enjoyed doing my coursework because I just really interested in the characters lol. Lots of comedic lenny accents in my class lol :P I didn't like the film really, but I think that was just because I knew the book too well.

I read it a few months ago for my Standard Grade English and watched the film. I found it interesting and managed to write a decent essay on it cos it's really easy to understand and everything. The ending was quite sad though, but I suppose it was for the best really. Quite sad as a whole, but funny in parts.

Can you elaborate on this? I haven't read or watched it but I saw this line mentioned in the title of a Facebook group and wondered what it meant.

Forced to do it in English GCSE, its actually good though, Your not allowed to call Lennie a dum though, you have to call him "mentally unstable" :D

I remember reading it for school, it's quite interesting :) The way Lenny is like a child to George with how he needs to having someone look after him. The theatre production is very good too, if it's on near you definitely consider going!

Studied it 2 years ago for GCSE. It wasn't half bad, this coming from someone who never reads. I watched the film and thought the exam was a good one.

After completing English Language GCSE last November (successfully getting an A), we too are going on to study English Literature.
We've just finished reading this book and now doing mock exam questions on it. Absolutely brilliant book. Very well written. We should be watching the film in class sometime soon.

Who is the author? I really can't be bothered to google it.
Anyway, we're studying Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice for English Lit. and I'm already bored of it (Mr Darcy please go and die.)
