Since the twilight/twilight saga films have come out, the books have become quite popular again. But, the real argument is, Book or Film? For me, I would choose the books. The films are great but the books bring more emotion towards the thoughts and feelings.

What do you guys think?

Are you referring to just the twilight series?

Film, it takes you 2 hours not 10 hours to get through it.

It takes out the main details and is a hell of a lot more emotional than reading a book.

How can you say that a book is more emotional :O I didnt think the books were sad at all, Then i watched the films an i was like omg my heart is broke.

Yh i read the books first

Films for the Twilight saga, but for harry potter (which is kinda the same, films based on the books) definetly the books.

Novels are evidently better than a film in most cases, because you interpret it as you see fit and you use your imagination - if you've got one. However, there are instances where a film is a better adaption to text.

Breakfast at Tiffany's is the only example I can think of where the film is infinitely better than the book - absolute masterpiece on camera, drivel about a stalker on print

Depends really, I like the harry potter books more than the film, but I like the LOTR films more than books. It's only because I never have time to read them properly.

Agreed. I don't read at all any more but I wish I had read the likes of The Lord of the Rings before seeing the films. I know the few Harry Potter films I have seen were nothing on the books and I made a point to read Narnia before going to see the first movie they made. For me it's essential to read the book first - especially with fantasy stories.

Haven't got around to watching that yet and I know nothing about it, but I love the song of the same title and your stalker comment explains it perfectly :P

Harry Potter books are all the same to me, well since The Goblet of Fire it's been the same, Harry enters Hogwarts, something happens to do with voldermort, harry almost dies, but he's always saved by someone, twilight saga is well better to me, books for twilight, films for harry potter.

Peter Benchley's novel Jaws is incredibly inferior to the masterpiece film.
