Well, alot of the time me and my dad argue, as in a proper heated argument. He has a habit of (no idea why) of calling me a pedo. This gets me really angy and frustrated so I tell him to go 6 feet under and drop dead, and so he calls me a pedo and i tell him to drop dead and this goes on for hours. I really can't help it, he just gets me so angry. I hate having arguments with him but I can't stop we argue over anything. Any suggestions?

Go see a therapist.

Or go to connexions and speak to a connexions advisor, They will have alot more experience on this than anyone on the forum.

Perhaps you should talk to him and ask him the reasons hes mad at you.Maybe you done something really bad that makes him very pissed. If hes starting the argument,be calm and hold your anger and tell him that you want to sort it out.Maybe you should ask for your mum's help too?

Same with me really. My dads a mixed person.. I mean like, if hes in a good mood, hes nice to everyone, plays around with everyone lets us to what we want, takes us anywhere, gives us treats and stuff.

But hes mostly REALLY REALLY REALLY angry. He picks out little things like "WHYS THAT ON THE FLOOR !$^%£$ PICK IT UP YOU $£^$%£!" and he goes on at everyone for the whole day. I try so hard not to respond but sometimes he just literally starts going on and on and on for nothing. Then it breaks up into an arguement. I normally say something (which I never regret btw) and I then its all my fault.

I say, you should just walk away or just say "Look dad. We should stop arguing.. whats the point?" or something like that.

It's quite a natural thing in the teens I believe - it's the time you are growing up and have a mind of your own. I think Parents have to get used to it. I would try to count to 10 before you say anything or have a word with your mum.
Also find something you can do together maybe that you both enjoy.

This has happened with me, and the only way I found to actually combat it when it happens is to take a very deep breath and walk out of the room. Don't say anything at all as a retort. I know its hard, believe me I do, but there's no point in arguing with this kind of person because you won't ever win.

Is this serious? I just really can't related to this lol, well I could if it was your sibling as I argue with my brother all the time. But I could never imagine ever having a conversation like that with my dad :P He would never have called me something like that and if I called him something I dunno what he'd have done haha
