Yeah, It was finished on the 4th feb, in those 5 days habbox wer meant to select a winner and send it to habbo.

Fansite Fortnight has officially begun and to kick it off we have two competitions for you! The overall winner of each competition will have their work featured on Habbo UK plus receive an additional prize. Points will also be awarded to each fansite based on the entries they receive. The fansite with the most points will win and any members of the winning fansite's group will receive an exclusive badge!

All the entries were sent to a special email address, which I know Jin had problems with near the start of last week.

Not sure what's happening with the winners, but I'm guessing they will be announced soon?

Hopefully everything should have been ok after this.

Could be a communication problem, or a problem with Habbo themselves somehow. Either way it is unfortunate yes and hopefully this can still be resolved, and the winner(s) properly announced soon.

My point was perhaps badly put. I understand he's on extended leave for whatever reason, but even for conservative Habbox management it was absolutely ridiculous for them not to change for an active fansite representative. It's not a role that can be carried out while on leave, so should have been carried over like his other duties.

Habbox seem to have bad enough communication problems as it is if a recent radio by ludus was anything to go by. A user complained that he never visits Habboxlive... to which he said Habbox have not got in contact for a visit like the other fansites had.

For a Habbo fansite, please let's see some management members active on Habbo? sierk's position is understandable, so the other two representatives should be active enough to compensate.

From what I knew all of that was under control and that there were entries to be sent off to Habbo. I don't know why they were never sent off in the first place, so I will wait for someone like Jin to answer that one.

I think that who gets the status should be considered, they are fansite representatives not necessarily fansite owners, so I personally think two should go to the AGMs that use Habbo the most, if not definitely the community AGM and it'd be good sense for Jin to keep it too.

Our handling of this period hasn't been great.

We are trying hard to make amends and I have spoken to Ludus regarding this.

Firstly I would like to address that we were only notified about fansite fortnight 3 days before it was due to start. I myself had to change the dates of my short break to the following weekend so I could see the start of it which my girlfriend was not best pleased about.

When I left I failed to mention to Roxy to email the finalists and as for 4 out of 365 days of the year I decided to drop off the radar no one could query it with me till I returned.

We are currently trying to make amends so please bare with us.

We will have a lot more involvement with Habbo staff in the future and the upcoming fansite nominations.

I would also like to add, we are volunteer based, people sacrifice their time and social life. If you see this slip up as a major injustice then you are welcome to leave, we are all entitled to a break and if you dont like it then you can go you ungrateful leeches I know we won't be losing any sleep over it.

I love the last paragraph. A site that nvrspk4 told me (pretty sure he said it on the forum too) if it didn't improve it'd have to close and we have the owner insulting the users who help with the server costs by making sure they click every ad and by donating, for no other reason but to help Habbox because we like the site. Fantastic, really is.

Well he's not right because if everyone who has ever criticised something about Habbox, including you Rob was just to leave, the majority of active users would go. I can understand his frustration but he doesn't have to release said frustration on users who only get annoyed with Habbox because they want it to do well. I know that's the case for me. I visit daily and enjoy coming on here but when I moan about things - I only do it so they improve, making mine and others visits to the forum more enjoyable.

I respect him because he puts his own money into the site, that's it. His approach to users and general attitude is awful. Even after making two posts in this thread, he hadn't apologised. Only when reminded, he did. That is the exact reason that ---MAD--- when GM made sure Jin had nothing to do with the site, although I'm sure he'll say he helped sierk out anyway or some other fabricated rubbish :rolleyes:

Also jake is once again proving his ******ed abilities, I am sure if you will quiz sierk he will confirm that even before I returned I was involved with things such as releasing our habbox.com domain from namecheap when it was locked in a legal matter against a credit card fraud when sierk had completely given up and we were almost settling on using Habbox.eu.

Anyway considering that Black_apalachi seems to understand what I was trying to convey and I have addressed how and why we screwed up and that I have essentially turned this into a slagging competition between me and immense "Waaah" man.

I think a thread closing would be appropriate before it all starts getting really out of hand.
