If I put a box of **** in my suitcase is there a chance I'll get caught? I'm underage and I'm departing for JFK airport (New York) from Heathrow tomorrow morning, and apparently they have suitcase scanners now :(

I just wanted to check haha :) I'll see what happens. The worse that security can do is confiscate them, right?

I don't think there's any regulations about possessing tobacco under the age of 18 in New York, so it should be okay :P

Smuggling = easy money.

Do it. If you get caught once they just take down your passport number and just don't do it again after that. They take it off you as well obv but money is well worth it innit.

What? I'm pretty sure Americans don't need to pay people to smuggle cigarettes over to them lol

By the time they scan your suitcases, they will have no idea how old you are; it will be just another suitcase in a sea of others.

Just make sure they aren't Cuban, they'll have your head off for that! :P:P

Suitcases have been scanned for years! But you won't get caught out unless you have over the allowed amount and if you happened to be stopped at customs you then may get into bother. But i wouldn't worry the people watching the scanners or computers in many cases are not particularly bothered as long as it poses no threat.
