Mental homes freak me out a little bit (those stereotypical ones anyway) while such mysteries fascinate me so I reckon I'd like this. Only thing is while I was watching the trailer something made me wish it was Tom Hanks instead of DiCaprio :P

I'm not sure if that trailer gave too much away because I had a little idea. I'll put it in a spoiler though just in case (hope that doesn't sound pretentious lmao) I wonder does it end up like the Sixth Sense where he goes crazy and turns out to be the extra patient? ;)

Looks like a film that'd make you jump but will just be the same as most other horror movies.

It isn't a horror film. It's a psychological thriller.

I went to see it today and it's really good in my opinion. There are some small parts that you think "Wait, what the hell?" but it all makes sense in the end. I thought it was tied up brilliantly and I'll definitely be buying Shutter Island when it's on DVD. :)
