View Full Version : So much lag..
I can't even go in private games with lagging all over the place, I don't get it. It's fine with some people and totally rubbish with others >_>
I might just sell the ******.
It's only MW2 MP that lags, Halo 3, Skate 2 etc is fine.

Is it Xbox? Mine lags on PES 2009, don't know why it just does when I'm playin online, when I'm playing on my own offline it's fine. But thats the only game that does it on mine, I'm sort of worried wheather its me or the other players.

Upgrade your connection.
It takes 512kbps upload/download to play on a UK host in MW2.

That may be why. I'm on a 4.6mbps UP/450kbps DOWN connection (8mbps line). There's no way I'm getting any better than that with where I live. Monopolised ISP for the lose. (www.karoo.co.uk)

Is your NAT type open?
Check your Multiplayer Menu.
It'll say in the bottom left corner.
If it says Moderate or Closed I can help you port forward which will help a bit.

Moderate, I've been looking at the port forwarding and it confuses the hell out of me :P
I was going to go ask the techie next door, but if you can help, that would be awesome ;) <3
Okay, so I forwarded all the ports, the techie next door put me on a faster DNS and I still lag. So it's my ISP. I'll try it at the early hours of the morning. I'm probably being screened so that businesses and stuff get a better connection.

Yeah, Ring up your ISP and ask what is the problem.
I know this may be a bit stupid but make sure any torrent or bandwidth draining programs are off?

Yeah, I think I'll try it in an hour to see if it is the same. Either way I'll ring my ISP.
And yeah, I make sure steam is closed (for background downloads), postpone updates, etc. :D
