It was late saturday morning when we actually decided we'd do it, so I spent a lot of time setting it up and the Cupid account has sent out 150 valentines messages over the weekend with more coming in as we speak.

It's been a good experience for all involved and hopefully we can do more things like this for our community.

Don't see why you would be told to do that, I'll make no secret over the fact I wouldn't have wanted you doing it had I known, but keeping zip over it achieves nothing but acknowledging our wrong doing (which I'm doing now instead)

Naa, Oli logged into the account to make sure i didn't abuse the powers / forward the pm's to myself. I sent them, he looked at the ones i sent.

It was a forum initiative ran by forum management with the help of a dedicated user who executed the job extremely well :)

Yeah I just mean to avoid all the controversy that has apparently arisen from allowing a normal member to do it and Alkaz is just the first name from management that popped into my head a someone who would do it well. Anyway agreed with above, it was done very well as it was :)

The revalation of who it actually is, is indeed quite shcoking. I'm sure a management member could have easily done it.

However, on a positive note, it went smoothly so well done.

In all honesty it took the user a shocking amount of effort to send over 150 valentines messages.

150 pms is a lot, it has to be remembered that management have other roles which cannot be neglected.

Anyway in my opinion it's irrelevant who did it, because that person did it well and the scheme worked very well and it shall probably return next year :)

I think it is incredibly unfair to criticise the member who has done it, as it's quite offensive really considering he spent his whole weekend doing that (I checked every PM and all valentines requests were sent out within 1 hour).

I don't think people should be criticising tbh, they should be saying well done :)

It's less about criticising the user, as it is true he did a wonderful job and should be very proud.

It is the decision not the user. Anyway I won't complain as there were no problems, so there is no reason to do so :D.

The critisism isn't for the work but the decision. No one was denying Graham did a good job. Just want to make that absolutely clear, as I would hate for anything anyone has said to be twisted and taken out of context to try and justify actions. But anyway, I'll honour the VIP members decision to close the thread from.... now.
