Rating System!

Hey Guys! I am currently making something, but I was wondering if you know how I could add a small rating system on a page? One that doesn't need msql. Any help will get +REP.

Sorry, I would like to say I don't want to have that script on Habbo Emotion, something similar but not msql based. Also, I don't wanna register with a site to do it.

So you basically want a rating system that saves in .txt?

Hmmm,,, Im sure there would be a script out there some where... Maybe convert a mysql script to non mysql? Just make it update and fetch from a .txt file?

I would advise you not to do it flat file... If you get too many ratings the file will become so big that reading it slows down your script - slowing down your website. :)

Think about it. You need somewhere secure to store the ratings. MySQL.

Well it's not the fact he needs somewhere secure to store it, it is just the process behind it that is labor intensive.

You're sorting through all the ratings and finding that average to put out.

I recommend you use MySQL, and I don't really see a reason on why you wouldn't? Surely a table in your database isn't too much to ask.
