Right, at the moment, on my PC, I'm using a ProView 17" 4:3 monitor with speakers. It's hideous, and looks very tacky, plus the speakers aren't that good tbh.

I'm looking for around 18"+ screen size, with VGA connection.

HDMI connection would be nice, as would a glossy screen.

Speakers are not vital, I'd rather buy a 2.0 set separately.

One of those that has USB ports on the side would also be nice. But again, not vital.

I have the larger size (22") of this (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/176581) monitor and I would definately recommend it for its price and also quality. I've had it for around 3/4 of a year now and it has no dead pixels atall, brilliant specs and it has had to put up with constant (24/7) use for a good few weeks.
