Could anybody tell me if this computer would be good for gaming? For playing games such as Call of duty and grand theft auto?

here are the specs



Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 processor
(2.5GHz, 1333MHz FSB, 4MB Cache)
Genuine Windows(R) 7 Home Premium 64-bit (javascript:showEditorial('Genuine-Windows');)
6GB DDR2 memory

1TB hard drive

1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT220 graphics
DVD Rewriter
Built-in wireless (802.11b/g)

It will not perform well on those games at all.

I have asimilar rig and it works fine. Dunno what the dif between gtx220 and gtx260 is though.

The GT220 gets about 25FPS in COD5, which is poor.

Oh just had a look - and yeh gtx220 sucks.

You are basically building a gaming pc, without the most important part. A decent graphics card.

Nowadays many games are more CPU intensive than GPU intensive

You could get that PC but then buy like the GTS250 or GTX260. Might need a new PSU though, depends on the watts and the v12 rail.
