Hi, my dad told me I've got up to around £450 to buy a new laptop with and I've been looking around for the best deal. I think I've got it. This is the Dell Inspiron 1546 for £429 and these are the specifications:

- AMD AthlonX2 Dual Core Mobile Processor QL-64 (2.1GHz/1MB L2)
- Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
- 2GB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024]
- 250GB (5,400rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive
- 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330 Graphics Card
- DVD +/- RW Drive
- 9-cell 85WHr Li-Ion primary battery
- Dell Wireless 1397 Mini Card (802.11 b/g)
- 1.3 Mega pixel Integrated Web Camera

I'm gonna use it mostly for the internet, listening to music, watching movies and college work but I wouldn't mind playing games on it either (instead of having to buy a console). What do you guys think? Are there any better options?

Thank you in advance!

Sunny.

Seems to be good yeh. 9 cell battery will give you a lot more than the standard 6 cell.
Not sure about the processor, someone else will clear that up as I dont really know much about them. Rest of the spec seems to be good.

I've got a QL-65 (slightly better, i think) in my HP, and it's a very good CPU, but it can get hot. Hot enough to nearly burn your lap.

It'd be worth your while to upgrade the RAM, too.
