Why are they stupidly high prices and more stupidly why do people buy them at such a price?

They're not dear though really. If you go to see lots of bands it's cheaper than if you were to go see each individually. Great weekend like.

it looks ok, but man, i can't stand scottish people, so the thought of being stuck in a field with them is awful.

I managed to find quite decent flights £100 return (Which is much cheaper than the trains available may I add). I also got some friends together but it seems a bit of a hassle needing to find someone over 21 to fill in lots of consent forms. It's one thing getting someone to pretend to be your guardian to get in, but getting someone to fill out like 5 forms for you and accept responsibility for you takes the piss.
I'm just going to have to hope that Leeds/Reading has a decent line-up.

Any particular reason that isn't a generalised stereotype?

The line-ups are all so similar that my decision about which festival to go to is going to be decided by stuff like at V you can only drink Carling - and it probably has to be in a plastic cup - so I'm not going there lol.
ADAM BEYER
DJ YODA
SVEN VATH
THE BLACK KEYS
WE ARE SCIENTISTS
CHIPMUNK
KATE NASH
SHED SEVEN
RODRIGO Y GABRIELA
GROOVE ARMADA
