No proper RB's so Milner will play there I think. Also, I don't think that Walcott or Brown deserve to be there. How comes Ashley Young and Agbonlahor (sp.) aren't involved?

Isn't Wes Brown a recognised right back?

No he's a CB I think but that's a good point and he can play RB so he probably will although on skysports they listed Milner as a defender, not as a midfield player.

it'll be nice to help clear shawcross' head, apart from him though there isn't that much of a surprise.

I dont think them 3 should be there, fact.
Young should be in there. And if he is picking on form defenders to fill gaps, Roger Johnson should be there as he has being in form all season.
heskey is, always has been, and probably always be, a useless pile of dog.

Heskey creates chances for England!
him and Rooney link up perfect.
Heskey gives a good feed to Rooney and with his form, he'll capitalize on the opportunity.
i hope these two play upfront on Wednesday.
people give Heskey a lot of stick.
I've always admired Heskey.
I hope he plays tomorrow and let his presence be known, and I hope he scores.

Walcott? I thought Fabio picks players who are supposed to be in form?

The slamming of Heskey is starting to annoy me, seriously some of our best performances over the last 10 years have involved this man.
Might be a donkey at club level but he really does perform for country

Sick of the same old same old from England managers.
No Young, no Agbonlahor, still selecting Heskey. Makes me sick.
Won't win anything. Zidan will rip them apart next week.

Heskey is the link up striker, he does the job better than crouch.
How on earth Walcott, Lescott & C. Cole are in there and Ashley Young & Agbonlahor isn't I do not know.

No he's a right back - always plays there for united? Maybe because we have two good CB anyway but he's as good at RB as at CB.

Yeah they shouldn't be there Heskey shouldn't even be in contention in my opinion. Brown only there because of defensive gaps and Walcott isn't on good enough form to be considered for striker either. The strikers are just clogging up space for good players to come through.

Walcott with his 17 minutes playing time this season.
Heskey is dog ****. Agbonlahor is a good target man, surprisingly. Still.

I'm 99% sure that his natural position is CB but he's just had to play RB for this season because of O'Shea. If your whole squad was fit then he'd play CB. But because of the lack of English RB's he will probably play there in the friendly but Milner might too.
Be intresting to see who starts, Warnock or Baines.

Baines. He's better than Bridge anywho.
No RB. Wes Brown is awful.
To be honest the whole squad is lacklustre. If that's the same squad for SA then we'll be out in the groups.

It's not a great squad. We should have Ashley Cole and Johnson back though and Rio. Plus Joe Cole really should play as he is a great player and then there's Hargreaves too, although I have no idea if he'll make it. Still players that will come back so the proper squad should be better.

I honestly think you suffer from the disease most commonly attributed to pretentious football fans. You have foreign envy. You always look at abroad talent as much better and seriously underrate England. That squad would beat Algeria and the other ones and still give USA a game, if not take points. And that's not me being a cocky Englishman, I'm just realistic. Get better soon. xx

Sorry my post was a bit vague :P I wasn't saying that we'd go out in the group stage, I was saying that it wasn't a great squad in terms of actually getting to the final stages. Im 99% sure that the squad named wouldn't make it to the Semi's. However, like I said there are some key players missing from the squad that should hopefully be back for the real squad so that shouldn't be the squad we're taking to the WC anyway. That squad would probably get past the group stage yes but it wouldn't get much further.
