After using Internet Explorer for years, I have finally got fed up with the ****** speeds of it. Obviously they have not been helped with my internet problems - but after transferring to FireFox in a temper (:P) I have to say I am very impressed. It looks good - the skins are VERY nice imo - I have a music one atm - love it. The speed is very good compared to internet explorer too.
I highly recommend that anyone who uses internet explorer transfers to FF - as so far for me it has been fantastic.
A* :)

Personally chrome winds me up. Don't really like the style of it - FireFox has a SIMILAR interface to ie - although better for customization etc. I generally am very impressed with firefox - and as said I would recommend it above all the other browsers - and yes I have used all of them. (Well the main ones!)

Apart from the fact FireFox is becoming as slow and buggy as IE is IMHO, it's great :P

If it happens I will cry. As of now, ie is far slower - I have tried using both for 15 min slots this morning (twice each).
Yeah I got fed up of it crashing all the time and using GBs of RAM for no apparent reason.

using GBs of RAM ?! mine uses like 100 - 200MB.

no but seriously, why don't you like the style of chrome? As far as I know the new firefox is going to look similar to it, like where the tabs are etc. Not only that, (don't think firefox does this) but chrome runs a separate process for each tab, so if one fails, it doesn't crash the browser, it just crashes that tab, which has saved me many times :P

That's still high. 40MB at the most for me.
Yes, I've had Firefox using around 1.8GB of RAM.

Nope - there have been lots of screenies but those are mock-ups. As far as I know, it isn't really decided what they will be going with. Could all one of the following: Windows. (https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/4.0_Windows_Theme_Mockups) Mac. (https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/4.0_Mac_Theme_Mockups)
If you even love personas more, and want to have a different one every 1,2,5,10,etc minutes, download the Personas Rotator (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60914?from=%2Fnl%2Ffirefox%2Faddon%2F60914) add-on :). I really suggest it - it's great!
Firefox doesn't run seperate processes YET. But they will be implying it sooner or later... takes time u know.

It's a shame that when it comes out it won't look as clean :P Especially when alot of us have alot of add-ons and customisations to add to it. Speaking of which, surely the persona function would be obsolete or unattractive in that small space? Or do you recon they will make it so you do not have a transparent top?

i have to say, the mac version looks horrid :P
and yeh, but thats where chrome takes the leaad, regarding the individual processes. We'll see what firefox is like, i still find it bulky. A browser should show as much of the screen as possible. No need for the file, edit, help etc tabs. I just have the standard; tabs, and website navigation. Non nonsense. the bookmarks are hidden away too

It's confirmed Mozilla will be using Aero features in the next major release of Firefox

I have no idea/clue about that... Yeah - I wonder what will happen with Personas...!

Lmao congratulations. Only a matter of time before you become as fed up with Firefox and turn to Opera and Chrome respectively and maybe even Safari in between.

I've had enough of Firefox now. It seems to me, since I installed Windows 7, it's taken ages to load up, and has been slow. I switched to Chrome last night, and not regretting it.

Well done for getting away from IE, Microsoft need to recode it from the ground up and make it awesome in some way, like they originally did to get the market share in the first place. Remember to try chrome, opera and safari too to get a good idea of what's out there :)

Chrome - I originally used the BETA stages and fell out with it - if I change OS - it will probably be chrome.
Safari - never really liked the interface - looks a bit 'retro' compared to IE, Opera and FF
Opera- I actually used this for a few days last week - I do like it - just something not there - can't work out what.
EDIT: Yes I did just say 'If I change OS it will be chrome' - I meant browser lol

If only the 7 letter B word wasn't filtered :( Then Safari could be called a ... child :P
The grey toolbars are a bit miserable :P The internet should be a joy to use, looking through a grey window is like looking out of a gothic window, all you'd want to do is cry and punch people.
That said, I use Firefox and Chrome :) If one dies, the other one hopefully picks up from where the other left off.
it is a shame that safari is so grey and dull in its appearance

Yeah that's what I don't like about it. I like chrome because its about as fast give or take and its small so it doesnt take up much screen space on my laptop. Still use opera on my desktop though im just used to it (H)
