Of course everyone has seen the recent downfall of the HC and the uprise of the credits.

Some people are particularly upset about the HC's downfall in price.

But come on people, lets be frank, The HC is one of the most Over Spammed items in habbo. Of course its a currency item, but a Item can't have value if everyone and their grandmothers have them. Prices are based on the number of the item found. And Theres just to many of them.

And the Credit Uprise is great, because that's the only 'pure' you need. Everything is valued in credits, So why not have them overcome the HC's.

It was only a matter of time before the prices began to slip.

In actual fact everyone can have hc's - as that is fairly normal - it's about how many people have :)

On the other hand I do see what you are saying, and it was always bound to drop at some point. Although another reason for the drop being so bad, is people seeing it drop a bit then everyone wanting to get rid of them quickly - so they do not lose out. This causes panic selling - which creates a downfall.

Just because credits go up a little doesn't mean club sofas have suddenly crashed. Not everything stays at the same value for ever.

No, items are not valued by how many there is of something. There is around the same amount of thrones as there is holopods/samovars and look at the price difference! It depends on what people are willing to pay for an item that determines its value.

I don't understand this thing about "credits going up". You wouldn't go along to a clothes shop during the sales and assume that "cash has gone up in value". What's simply happening is either an increase in supply or a decrease in demand, or both. The fact that almost everything seems to be getting cheaper in terms of coins (is this true??) just shows that people value furniture less, and many have come to the realisation that there are multiple instances of every single item, and that they don't need to hurry and buy the first item they see at a premium.

Ever since the exchange was introduced, quatifying items in numbers of HC sofas has seemed to me similar to trying to purchase a T-shirt with mars bars. Why bother when you can just use your good old currency?

Of course, in hotels such as Australia where coins have a fee I'd say that the sofa may reign supreme. I will add that it's an annoying update to the AU Hotel :(

But in Habbo there's like 3/4 currencies and in the uk there's 1.

David that's where you are wrong :) No you would not go to a clothes shop and they would not tell you cash value has gone up - as a nation/country it is worth the same - but what if you tried to change all your pounds into dollars? That always changes. It is the same here!

Also everything is also getting more expensive if you buy with credits. I was trying to sell 3 thrones for credits before marketplace came in (Ididn't even know about it at the time!) I was looking for the average price of 1050 credits - now you could only get around 780 credits for a throne!

Credits went up because of the market.. Club Sofas then crashed on their own due to panic selling. Its been a mix of the two.

Agreed with it now being a mix of the two. Although at first I'd say it was just credits rising.

I loved this point. I find it really hard to fathom another situation where there is a currency within a currency. I don't know anywhere where an item can be used as an alternative to real cash.
