Well i fancy buying an iPhone 3gs for around £400 but is it worth it? And should i get it pay monthly rather than paying straight up for it?
Any answer is appreciated and if you've used one before tell me the pro's and con's please and why you would reccomend it

An iPhone is a multi purpose phone. It really depends on your needs. A few of my friends have iPhones and they say they love them.

You can do anything from games, to finding where your ex lives on them :P It has a good texting service (doesnt look like normal texting, looks like a chat), user friendly, easy to use and apparently they are quit durable. Be careful of the screen though!

I think an iPhone is a great phone to get, especially if you like music. Be careful at parties and outings because you wouldnt want to lose such a valuable piece of technology. BYE BYE $$$$$ :P

SMS that looks like IM is pretty ubiquitous now from what I've seen but yeah if you want a phone that you can pick up and use straight off and everything is streamlined and apps are monitored for quality and content then go for the iPhone. However if you like to play around with skins, a wider variety of apps (porn apps for example), greater customisability and a choice of handsets I'd recommend any phone running Android, the Nexus one seems a good bet if you don't like physical keyboards.

Tbh I wouldn't get a phone like that on PAYG because the internet bolt ons (or whatever they're called these days) can cost a bomb, a contract is generally better value and usually free phone :)

I'd definitely advise having one on pay monthly rather than Payg.

Main reason being all of your data is included. Fair enough it is for the first year on PAYG, but then you have to pay £10 a month for data plus any top up you want. Therefore a contract would probably work out more cost effective.
