I was wondering if anybody knows how I can record my PS3 gameplay, like recording multiplayer on Modern Warfare 2 and so on, I don't want to be spending to much money and it needs to be descent quality but not High.
I have a DVD player but it doesn't record so don't bother suggesting that.

What you need is a USB Capture Device. You plug it in to your TV, and the other end into your PCs USB Ports. You then set it up to record gameplay using the software given and it'll work that way. It's generally pretty high quality too.

If you want something from the high street, Argos sell USB Capture devices I believe.

Only problem with that is my computer isn't next to my PC, could I plug it into my PS3 and have it go to that hard drive?

Sadly no, it needs software to be ran on a computer.
You could possibly use a video recorder to record your gameplay onto a VHS Tape. Then plug the VHS Recorder into the USB Capture Device, connected to your computer (You could move the VHS Recorder). And then put it on your PC by then playing the tape back and recording it. The quality would be poor, it's unreliable and could take a while though.

Well I have a laptop so I can use that but first, do you own one? If so how does it work, are you recording via the device or using a screen capture programs?

They'll be software on your PC which you install and it captures everything which goes on your TV Screen. So essentially yes.

I know I am asking a lot of questions but I have to be sure, do you own one of these? If so can you provide a screenshot?

I don't, but a lot of people on here who use the Gaming forums do though and should be able to help.

I got it moved, I'm trying to avoid having to use a tripod and video camera as it recks the whole video.
Could try getting a blitzbox, the wireless edition - i have no idea wether you can buy them in other countries than america tbh
