Before people moan, i have am highlighting this not to moan just i found it shocking to see.
Regarding this post: http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?p=6338948#post6338948
Its her a first post on forum, SURELY you would reply explainingg to her how habboxforum works and that you cant ask for free furni ect? How do you expect people to want to stay when they are not helped, she even said she was new and didnt understand how it worked, would it be better to post explaining that to her?
Again this isnt a thread of being moaning for sake of it before someone says it is, i just thought it needed to be highlighted as we are struggling to get new members we are told.

Ill actually take the blame for this, the moderator was doing there job.
Inseriousity.

It's a shame moderators didn't reply especially when it's so clear it's addressed to them (unlike some threads in there!). If I could, I would have advertised comps+events cos she gave the perfect opportunity... and welcomed her to the forum ofc :)
edit: Oh just realised it's been closed for being pointless. Is there such a thing as a pointless question when someone doesn't know the system?

When I first joined Habbox, I had no idea what it was. Then I came on the forum and I had no clue how it worked. If I was treated that way, I would not have stayed.
Another reason I don't like certain super moderators - they don't use common sense. The user posted it in Ask the Habbox Staff forum for a reason.
Oli posted a thread saying that there has been new users and most posts this month so i dont see how we are struggling to get them?
But yeah, i showed oli on msn ( i laughed at the post because it was so funny) but i did think it was a harsh edit for a users first post

Well last month we were told we were struggling to get new members ;). Just because we had a lot of posts in February doesn't mean it was new members posting. Theres no way to tell unless you check all the accounts.

The moderator who closed the thread could have PM'd the new user explaining to them and telling them about the rules of the forum etc. Just because it doesn't say so in the edit it doesn't mean they've not said anything to them about it.

Agreed with Titch, Gupta etc - it was her first post and she shouldn't have been told off - she should have just been told how Habboxforum works etc. Like Inseriousity., I would welcome her and talk about the fact she can't ask for free furni and need to post threads in the relavent section, as well as saying the things Habbox can offer. But yeah, it needs to be dealt with sensibly in my opinion.

I havent had access to the forums since 3am for a silly reason, when graham showed me this I didn't realise it was in Forum Staff as he showed me a screenie.
I fully agree with you here titch and rest assured this will be dealt with.

Sorry for posting in a closed thread but I thought you'd like an update.
I investigated this and the moderator sent the user a very nice PM explaining that asking for furni is not allowed and how they can use Habbox to win some.
So that's that one sorted.
