Hey,

Been looking at some HDDs for my MacBook and was looking at either of these:

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150513

Anyone have any input on these?

Want about 250GB storage, fairly quiet, fairly fast and low power consumption... probably not the ideal mixture when looking for a new HDD eh? :P

I have a MacBook Pro and I love it. I havent used any CD's in it yet.

Hopefully I wont need to upgrade :)

I'm a Samsung guy so would be tempted by this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/168314

However I might then change my mind last minute because a 320GB is less than £5 more http://www.ebuyer.com/product/136790

I'd go for the Western Digital. I've heard bad things about Seagate and their firmware.

Yep they do. The HDD controller needs firmware to function.
