... would go out with a boy/girl despite knowing that your best friend RALLY likes them?

From one point of you, you don't wanna loose your friend, on the other hand, you like the guy/girl too.. so its kinda a weird one this.

Lets see what everyone thinks :)

it really depends.
tbh I'd probably have to go with yes because I did do it once, unintentionally. But it is my life and I can't help it if he likes me aswell. if they're a good friend, they'll stick by me :)

I think its a catch-22. If you go with the girl he's going to dislike you, and if you do nothing while liking the girl there is always going to be a deep burning resentment at seeing them together.

I personally, wouldn't and would be burdered with the repressed heartbreak :)

It depends how desperate i am really but if i just generally like the girl then i would let my mates take her but if i was really desperate and really wanted the girl then i would probably take her myself, i wouldn't really care what my mates would think because i bet you that 80% of my mates would do the same.

I lost a best friend through that when I was like 13 :'( hahahahhaha.

I suppose it's okay, at the end of the day my best friend's an ugly fat **** and I have good taste in girls (well I used to until recently) so if we both like the same girl i've got 10x more chance than him.

I don't think I could ever do that, it'd be so awkward.

I had a friend who did this once and she pissed me off so much that I just flat out ignored her. Tbf though we'd just broken up and she got with him 2 days later

Well I was in a similar situation.. I actually voted No.. but I have done it.

My supposedly "best" friend went out with a girl that I liked for 3 years. (She didnt know I liked her until like the 2nd year.) So when I told her that I liked her.. she was like "aww thats dead sweet x" and I started getting to know her more and stuff.. as soon as I tell my best friend that I like her... what does he do?

Asks her out.. she thinks for a while and says yes. They keep on going on and off and to make matters worse, my "best" friend kiss's her and stuff infront of me. Its like what the bloody hell?

You go out with her, bad enough, then start lipsing her? I got so pissed off at him that I didnt talk to him for ages. Then she dumped him and got with me. Fair play tbh - he did it to me, so dont I deserve a little happiness?

i doubt it, depends who the person is though

No I wouldn't, one of my friends did this to my friend and it made her really upset. She was crying because she thought he'd liked her. Plus my friend admitted to us that she didn't like him, which seems really spiteful.
Anywho, if my best friend had dated the guy before I think it would be okay to go out with them, even though that isn't the question, that's just something related to it.

I voted no, but it would really depend on the situation.

No I wouldn't. It would be terribly awkward if the person you've done it to is your best friend who you see everyday.

I wouldn't if I didn't like the girl, so I wouldn't to annoy them but I would if I liked the girl. If we both liked the girl then I have a much better chance then them so yeah.

Well yeah if I like them and they like me then I'm gonna go through with it. If that were the case then obviously the girl isn't into my friend so he's not gonna get her either way, and there's no point me sitting back letting her go when she's still not gonna look at him twice. If a friend has a problem with that situation then he/she's a *** anyway

Nope. That's messed up. I wouldn't do that to a friend.
