I sent a Email to habbos help line (
[email protected]) asking them about the habbo exchange and how we would possibly benefit from this.
I sent the Email yesterday and get a reply to day. They replayed with the following.
Hi Habbo,
Thank you for your recent email.
We feel that Habbo Exchange offers a fantastic service and that the 1 single Credit increase is a very worthwhile contribution for a feature that gives you such flexibility.
New Habbo Exchange Prices are as follows:
Bronze Coin exchanges for 1 Credits and costs 2 Credits.
Silver Coin exchanges for 5 Credits and costs 6 Credits.
Gold Coin exchanges for 10 Credits and costs 11 Credits.
Money Bag exchanges for 20 Credits and costs 21 Credits.
Gold Bar exchanges for 50 Credits and costs 51 Credits.

That says it all
Since when was Sulake a registered charity lol...
The only thing I can notice that your contributing to when using this service is sulakes piggy bank
They used very bad wording imo, maybe if they said:
"the 1 single Credit increase is a very worthwhile price for a feature that gives you such flexibility"
I would say fair enough
I also don't like the way that they are stressing on the fact that it is just a single credit increase, as if they believe we are so ******ed that we don't know how small figures can get very large when a process is repeated many times.

This new Exchange thing is annoying everyone, why on earth do something that your audience don't like?!
I just realised, if you buy 3 Bronze Coins it would cost you 6 Coins while if you brought 1 Silver Coin it would cost you 6 Coins... It just makes everything a whole lot more confusing.... :S

Lol when they realise the decline in credit exchanges, I'm sure they'll just recolour some rares to make it all the more 'fun' not?

The problem is if you buy 50 credits you can't redeem them so you'd need to buy another lot if you want to redeem those 50. Maybe that's why sms=25 credits so they have to buy 3 lots to redeem instead of 2.

I think if they did it on all the other coins except the 1c coin I would prefer that. They would make money from all the other coins.

I would like that too, but if they did that people can avoid spending 6c for 5c coin by exchanged 5 1c coins :P

I suppose that is true. But for the real money you are giving you are getting pixelised credits, so how can they possibly charge you tax?
Also they have already cut the amount of credits you get for your money, So wouldn't you say that is classed as tax?
All there doing now is finding more ways to get money out of ppl.

Actually it'd cost (in the sense that you'd be down 3 creds) 3 creds to buy 3 coins (start with 20 creds in purse, buy 3 coins > end up with 14 in purse and 3 coins) and it'd cost 1 cred to buy 1 silver coin (start with 20 in purse, buy 1 silver coin > end up with 11 creds and 1 silver coin).
So really bronze coins are the most expensive of all for what you get. Although that's obvious since its a 2:1 ratio for them.

Yeah habbo is really teaching irl noobs about life and making a tidy profit on the side. Fair dues.

Well they're not going to be changing it back in a hurray. Its a way of them taking credits from people hoping that they will buy more to spend.

I guess it does a little, its a bit like a stock market. You buy rares cheap and sell them expensive, just like in the stock market ;)

When we buy creds, they go into our purse, so we have to spend more in exchange....

I don't mind paying 1c extra for a gold bar etc, but 2c for 1c is stupid they should have added a bundle so u could get 5x 1c coins for 6c etc.

I've seen a lot more people exchanging Credits and Furni amongst themselves, so they avoid this "fee".
