Basically a car with a camera on top, that takes 360 degree pictures. In some areas, you can see the camera shadow on the ground if the sun is at the right angle :)

omg you can see my car in one pic of my house but if you look at the other side it's DISAPPEARED and some granny is crossing the road, I call shenanigans and she must be stopped before she steals more cars.

Also pics are old I have a new fence ;| and my car is definitely not so clean

This happened along time ago here in New Zealand, we have been 98 percent covered for nearly a year and a half?

AgnesIO
13-03-2010, 09:36 AM
Tis because hey are doing it country by country.

Turkey isn't done yet :( Most of Spain has been for ages though.

That is because there has been protests over here which have delayed it, massively.

Omg just looked down where I get off school bus :l Streetview has captured people gettingoff the stop like 200 yards from me but not my stop. Scam xD

They seem to do off-road quite well too. This is a footpath on the boundaries of the De Hoge Veluwe near Apeldoorn in Holland. This link even includes cyclists :P

They have a habit of not going right to the end which ruins it.

It was about April when they did round here. Fixtures board at Brunton Park only shows the last two home fixtures of last season so it was early-mid April. Think it was the Easter holidays as well.

I was amazed at how extensive it is, it goes right past my house. Quite recent too, both my mum and dad's cars are there! Mines isn't though, so it's not THAT recent!

Hugely impressive though.

It only did our road in the last 3 weeks :o a house has just gone up for sale and the new board is outside. Its really good and they censored my number plates but not the car opposite :s Maybe there should be a thread of funny streetview pics before google remove them.

My village is covered, taken around Autumn due to the trees.

It's taken at lunch time, as there's about 100-150 kids from college at the local shops, which is rather amusing as I was scrolling down the road trying to find me, didn't in the end but did find many of my friends despite their faces being blurred :)

My one is really old as my car has an L plate on it and I passed my test about 17 months ago. But my car is also at my dad's work (as we share it), and then it's on there again outside my nan's house. It was parked in the right place at the right time it seems.

I've been passing so much time at college on it, i'm now really far behind on work.

It's too hard to find yourself other than obvious places! I mean someone I know found themself just crossing a random side road. All the ones around my area seem to have been done when nobody was out either lol
