So of course freddie can be battered the hell out of, left for what looks like a couple of days (from the next epi preview) and still survive, bet he just gets a few bruises, even though he's bleeding 8-)

the storyline is just preposterous and this episode was oh so boring (minus the ending which was slightly entertaining but still too unrealistic which made it annoying). i hope the next series has a better cast and more interesting storylines, but i hoped for the same for this series and it's been pretty piss poor.

I liked how they had no music on at the end, I sat there for like 30 seconds waiting for the 'Next Time' bit, sat in silence. hahaha. Anyway, the ending was ridiculous but it had me sat on the edge of my seat non the less.

I hate skins now, as Oli said it's completely lost any realism it once had. They just throw together house parties, sex scenes and teen angst and hope that people buy into it. I don't feel any sympathy for any of the main characters except maybe Cook because he isn't overtly annoying.
Also the fact that not one of the main characters can act to save their own lives doesn't contribute much to the show. Take a look at Misfits, purely in an acting sense, and you'll see how E4 teen actors should be acting. I swear sometimes I feel like they're just reading their lines off a card on skins.
I'll be glad when it's over next week for good, hopefully Tony will make a cameo appearance although I doubt that'll happen.

**** ending. Would of preferred to actually SEE Cook beat the **** out of him, and this episode didn't feel like the end of an era for the second generation - which I'm sure many would of hoped it would be.

If you're actually serious, then I want to the reaction you have after watching A Clockwork Orange. It's not about It being unrealistic, Skins has never been unrealistic. It's severely poor written, with people who can't act, thats what has made this season, and last complete garbage.

It didn't close the story for most characters. We still don't know what happens with Katie, Effy, JJ, and most Importantly Cooke. So maybe we'll see them next season?

Odds on the writers to 'forget' that Karen Is supposed to be older than Freddie, and make her and her friends the next main cast?

I dont think people realise exactly how it ended. After the downer for pretty much the whole season for each character, the final episode showed them all happy after a depressing first half. Panda and that french dude ended up back together, going to harvard. naomi and the twin got back together, and shes going goldsmiths. Effy wasn't crazy anymore, cooke finally got to have a reason for beating someone up. The only person which it ended badly for was freddie, but his killer still got, seemingly, killed

The whole point of skins is that its written, directed and produced by teenagers.. of course its not going to be as well acted or produced as any other thing? I think the first and second series was produced by adults wasnt it? and the third and fourth by teens?

I actually think that this series was alright..

Yes I am serious, is there something wrong with enjoying something? And me saying about the unrealistic thing was in answer to someone earlier in this thread so your basically just agreeing with me there...

And we're also in agreement that the ending was terrible and the story was not closed properly. I just liked most of the episode, not the ending.

Well that sucked. Freddie's sister told Cook that there was something wrong, and Cook thought the same too. So what do they do? They have a party in Freddie's shed. Ending was alright. I'll still watch the next series as will a lot of other people on this forum

Freddie's sister is older than Freddie though, so I doubt it.

I read their moving it to Scotland to please the Scottish it seems, this new cast weren't all that good anyway and the only two characters I really liked were Effy (from first series) and Freddie (guess why). I watched the ending anyway, not good. It was never realistic but the first cast just had it - they seemed like a real group of friends.

Season 2 wasn't very good either but this season was just terrible.
Season 3 was good, I really liked the characters in that season but this season was awfully unrealistic!

I watched all of Series 1 and 2 online, and the characters in there were the best ones. I just ain't used to the characters in Series 3 and 4 but I might watch Series 4 soon, I watched some of it.

When Freddie died it was just like, okay but when Chris died I think I cried alot LOL.

Wasn't a fan of this cast or this series tbh, definitely not as good as the first cast.
