There are only 4 maps from what I have heard

SENTUAMESSAGE is bloody awful as a way of source. I'd wait for an announcement.

The date is right.

you'd think that, but nope. the 360 is getting the map packs before the ps3. i think it's only by a couple of weeks though

Xbox has it for a month before the PS3 gets it I believe, the returning maps are Crash and Overgrown, the new maps are Storm, Bailout and Salvage, Bailout sounds like the best new map, of course crash is the best returning. :P

PS3 and PC get it assumingly 30th april, I assume if that's not a thursday PSN will get it later as it's a 30 day timed exclusive. You could consider storm (I think it's storm) as half MW1 being it has the same structure (I think?). Anyway I'm looking forward to it, I would have liked new guns which wouldn't have been impossible as you would have just needed to download an update to get all the files but an unlock key or w/e to get the ability to use them in a class.

"1/1/0001"

Okay I laughed hard.

Anyway, thank god Crash is coming back. Overgrown not so much.

So the maps we saw on the vid but with different names by the sound of it. Storm is what we saw, Salvage is the snow one we saw and Bailout is the one that was called complex.

Cant wait. :D

Its ridiculous how they are charging us for maps we've already played.

If it's 1600 then I won't get them, what a complete joke. MW map pack was terrible first time round.

I was looking on Amazon to see how much the MS Points cards are, and I found this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-Call-Duty-Modern-Warfare/dp/B003ARJ1CS/ref=pd_ybh_2?pf_rd_p=138755991&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_t=1501&pf_rd_i=ybh&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=0CT2WP27RW3V45YQT4S5. It's not on sale till the 19th March, so I'm guessing this is how much the map pack will be? I assumed it would be 800 but I guess we'll see

sorry for double post, but http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/15/modern-warfare-2-stimulus-package-costs-15/.
looks like it is gonna cost 1200 points. seems kind of overpriced for just 5 maps. but i guess that £10 points card above is a fair deal.

hopefully theyre £9.99 on psn but it will probs be £12
but does it seem overpriced or is it just me? :S

It'll be £13.99 on PSN from what I here.

Massively overpriced. Five maps? Come on.

completely agree. if we were getting something other than 5 maps, 2 of which aren't even new, i could understand. like say we got a whole new set of spec ops.

Or even some new weapons. Just something else to make up the price.

That's a rip soz. I was intending to get it on PS3 as well rather than 360. :/

The fact that those MS Points are on a "Modern Warfare card" doesn't make a difference - they're still just regular MS Points to use how you please, right?

samsaBEAR
16-03-2010, 11:21 AM
i would assume so yeah, i think it's just made to make the map pack more accesible because you can't get 1200 points seperately, you have to get 1000 and then 500

1200 Microsoft Points for 5 maps, 2 that we've already played on. Failure.

Firehorse

I think its overpriced - if the original game costs about £30 and it includes like 12 original maps, special ops and an epic campaign then theres no way a map pack with 5 maps is worth as much as a 3rd of the price of the original game.
