View Full Version : Reset Password Delay?

I reset my password last thursday...

The registered email on my account is a AOL one so I dont know if thats causing the problem..

Its now Monday afternoon and no reply, is anyone else having the same problem?

I've clicked reset many times and then done the no option the password options on the habbo help tool, I've also emailed sulake, and my dads emailed sulake this morning about legal action as he also thinks this is a disgraceful service, especially when we've spent hundreds of pounds on the site, I've even rung sulake twice, and both times I've had to leave a message on there answering machine.

I'm a little concerned as ALL my rares are on the account I can't access, I'm not been hacked/scammed/keylogged, I just don't know my password..its already been reset but the email haesnt come.

A mod did suggest to email the habbo help tool under 'I can't check in' and give an alternitive email address, I made a yahoo one, and I gave them my date of birth, account verification such as credit methods/date of birth/registered email address etc etc and no reply from that either.

The thing that concerns me the most is everyone is saying the same thing, someone said they've waited a month for there passwords, others say a week or two and they still haven't got it.

I understand habbo are really busy with it been the holidays and so many emails to read through, even if they just said its on the way or there a little busy there working through the emails it would settle my mind.

Does anyone know what I can do? + Rep for anybody who helps. :)

Habbo always take ages, on my last account I lost 6t worth because of this.

when i reset my pass it comes straight away to my hotmail account its always in junk though

From what I've heard, AOL blocks out E-mails from other people according to it's "Custom Filters". On MSN & Hotmail accounts, it takes a matter of seconds.
To most of the good E-Mail Providers, They block out Habbo messeges as the filters are programmed.
On the other hand, It could be that Habbo/Sulake haven't received it since the servers are busy, but I'm no expert.
I might be wrong, correct me if I am.

The number for the sulake office is 02072886187. You'll prolly get answering machine.

Is it better to send it more than once, will that get me a reply faster? I'm not too sure if it lags the server, but I know my friend sent his once and it took literally 6 weeks for a reply..

Im having this trouble on one of my older account with some furni on. Its automated I believe so staff being busy shouldnt affect how quick it comes. I tried resetting twice a few days ago and nothings come.

I find that odd.
I changed my password yesturday and I forgot it so I sent myself a password reminder and it came straight to me.. :S

This happend to me today, took about 2hrs for the password to be sent to my Hotmail inbox. Good luck with fixing it anyway!

Yes, my friend waited about a month and still got no reply. But last Friday we just kept calling for help telling them to come hear him out. And eventually, Scor came and cleared it all up. I suggest calling for help.

Um i dunno if this may help but on hotmail, u can edit so all email can be recieved or from trusted users. does ur email provider have this?

Whos Scor? I really need this clearing up.

I spoke to a mod she just said 4days isn't long enough I need to wait longer and be patient..

Anybody wanna team up later and help me get a mod? I'm not strong enough on my own..

Any voulenteers? Please :0

They are notorious for losing peoples accounts in this scenario. Good luck I hope you get it solved. I have heard cases of people waiting for months, getting passwords that dont work and also never getting a replacement password because sometimes they tend to not respond to ANY of your emails.

Unspoken; thats pretty rare case I've heard of it too, but it wont get to that extent, I'll go crazy and my dad will definatly ring up if its not back by friday o_o

I lost an account on the canadian hotel in the same manner, complaining can sometimes help but with all of the garbage they are dealing it will be difficult. For now I would just say to chill, it's still early and most of the time these issues to get resolved. I have had a friend waiting for close to 2 months now so hopefully you will have better luck.

People have waited months I know, but I refuse to give up.

I'll email them, ring them, flood call for help as many times as it takes for my account back.

I know this sounds a bit drastic but I've spent so much on habbo =/'

Of course, I suggest you dont stop. Call them and leave messages, when I had a problem It was only solved after I began to make threats of legal action against them.

Exactly.

I got my dad to ring up tho, they dont listen to 14year old kids unfortunatly.

My dad went fuming, absolutely fuming, hes paid so much on habbo, I think in all like £400-£500 in credits in like a year, and there doing this to me :s

Habbo really are taking ages :l

How many times has she sent for it?

My mum just rung up habbo now explaining the problem, I'm hoping thats solved it now and they'll just send me it so fingers crossed guys ;]

Lol, pointing fingers is necessary. If people never pointed their finger at people who have done wrong they would never be convicted and brought to justice. Call them until your blue in the face. I don't think its just me who notices the fact that when you have a problem you are never adressed in a timely manner if in fact you are lucky to be contacted at all. Let's not forget we all are customers, not just children.

make a room on ur clone, then Call for help, and ask for a tech team mod to come cause ur account has been scammed and u cannot get ahold of habbo via the habbo help tool. they may reset it for u. and if u werent scammed sorry but thats what i used before.

Hmm,. let me guess and say that he said "I can't help you with that, you will need to use the Habbo help tool" Mods are usually preprogrammed to say that.

He was a bit helpful actually.

He said hes sent a reminder to the office and I should get the email within a week, but if there really busy (which I think they probably are cause its in the school hols) it may be longer.

But if theres no email by Monday I can get another mod ;) Swings and round abouts really..I'm just gonna remember next time 'Never reset my password'

Yes.. Im having the same problem i used the same password I Always use and it didnt load onto my habbo and i checked it over and over and the smae thing happened I E-mailed the habbo help tool and its been about a month now and I still havent had any reply I have had to make a new habbo because i cannot get onto my original habbo i have been speakin to many hobbas and habbo staff and have had lots of different replys about my problem.

I am also worried for the reason I also have many rares I am quite conserned about getting them back and I will be quite upset if I cant get them back because i have also given dearly to the site and would hate to think all my money has been wasted.

Mods cant send the email directly I dont think.

They can speed the process up however.

To anyone in the same situation, try get your parents to ring up, call mods till your blue in the face.

My problem might be solved now but I'm doubting I'll get the email this week or even this month to be honest from what I've heard but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Well, when Scor helped my one friend he got the email almost instantly.

at the moment they arnt sendin the e-mails to habbo users becasue they little e-maily thingy has issues with aol acording to becs..all we cna do is sit and wait, and ive been waiting weeks now..so prepare for a long wait

Andy this is habbo, they have more important stuff to do than give habbos there stuff back. They need to stop other losing more stuff, and giving others theres back!
