So as many of you know in primary schools it used to be the "thing" to call people gay. But it's starting to annoy me because people are calling me gay, and as far as I know I'm not, don't get me wrong gay people are fine, more than fine our drama teacher is gay and he's awesome, but I've got a girlfriend and girls are starting to "avoid" me because the rest of the boys apart from the odd few are calling me gay. Any help :S thanks

When they say that, just diss them back - any diss is better than saying "your gay." And when they say that just say "Gayy.. er yeh? I have a girlfriend and a life mate."

If it breaks into a dissing match just use Yo Mama jokes like these: Yo mama so fat she left the house in high heels and when she came back she had on flip flops. OR something like Yo mama so old that when she was in school there was no history class.

But the only way to get rid of them really is to say stuff back. It happens near enough to everyone - but if you show them your not the type of guy to stand for it - they WILL stop!

It's just like cos now I'm wondering weather they're right. But then I think, I like girls. And it's sort of confusing, and even if I was I wouldn't feel comfortable saying I was, even in front of friends.

If you like girls, you're not gay, are ya?! Just ignore them, or just say something back... like "well your girlfriend wasn't saying that last night, mate". That is assuming you are then able to defend yourself should they choose to get physically violent.

Well look, they are only little kids that want to get at you. Ignoring them sounds silly and won't really work but if you give them a bit of the mouth - it'll normally put them off. And if you think your gay - then just deal with it really, theres nothing you can do about it. If you say you also like girls, then your a bisexual and theres nothing wrong with that.

If they are really getting at you - perhaps you should talk to a teacher and basically say how pissed off you are with these idiots.

No dear. How old are you? I think you're very young, and it's impossible to be 100% sure of your sexuality at such a young age - so don't worry about it for now. In time you will figure out your sexuality. Generally, unless you're getting sexual urges for men, I'd say you weren't bi or gay.

Gibs960

I'm 11, I don't really get "sexual urges" for any one.

Theres nothing wrong with liking a guys haircut or w.e that doesnt make you gay lol.

Just get a few disses up or something or little lines which your gonna use to defend. You could try doing what my friend does, when ever say someone calls his mum a dirty :rude:, he turns round and says "Your mums a what?"

You could try that too, say when they call you gay you could say "Your dads what?" :P

Well then, you can't possibly know if you're going to be gay / straight or bi at this age. Just don't worry yourself about it :).

Hey Hun,
I think the best advice I can give to you is that your 11 years old and therefore as your so young you have a lot of time left to decide your sexual orientation, go for whatever makes you feel comfortable don't care about what others say. :)

But even if I were gay, I'm pressured into being gay by my "friends". I might try some of these insults.

I dont mean to put you on a downer but erm that rather points to the fact you could be gay when you are older. I know its a common trait for teenagers who didnt realise/didnt want to realise they were gay and they just thought when they looked at a guy they did so because of his hair/clothes. That said; just wait until your older but do keep this in mind and dont worry about it. :)

I personally think that's ridiculous. Just because you think a bloke has nice hair and it would be cool to have your hair that way, it does not make you "possibly gay in the future".

I'm gay and I hate it when people turn round and point out the obvious, so I give them **** back. Don't stand for it :)
Don't let them make you gay if that's not what you feel like.

aw <3 don't work yourself up over this, it's a natural process your either gay or not, if you are you'll find out on your own sooner or later :)

No.

If you dont have any sexual attraction to boys or girls yet then you cannot tell. If you look at boys in that way, such as noticing 'cute' guys or guys with nice hair and so on then you could very well be gay as from what I have read around it seems the pretty common thing for gay lads who are confused to think when they are younger and later on they realise they actually are gay. Its very complicated although you seem young so dont worry about it.

Just because you think a bloke has nice hair and it would be cool to have your hair that way, it does not make you "possibly gay in the future".No i'm not saying that, i'm saying he he notices lads a lot more then perhaps he likes them but doesnt 'realise' it. Its only what I have read anyway and went through myself, he could turn out 100% straight for all we know.

I have strong feelings for girls because I feel I have to protect a girl more because I'm so friendly with her that if anythin happened to her I would be to blame.

Just don't let yourself get worked up over it :)
Either ignore them or give them some abuse back. Sooner or later they'll get bored of it and move on to harrassing some one else. It's life, it happens. Everyone goes through it at some point :) x

I don't know because it might just be cos I feel protective or weather I have feelings.

my advice is still the best

punch one of them, hard enough that it scares them, then all of them will become your best friend. or get your older brother/sister to go to school with you, and get them to start on one of them, all of a sudden, they'll all become ur best mate.

trust me, i've done it for my cousin. i went into her form room, and stood this girl up, suddenly this girl was her best mate. its easy.

Sometimes awe can be mistaken for attraction. I read a statistic once and it's like 95% of all men have experienced attraction to somebody of the same gender, because of awe. If you're "jealous" or like the way someone looks it can make you feel "attracted" to them, when it's in fact awe. :)

Say something back to them, or say, "No, I'm not - why, are you interested?" I've heard a few people at school say that and then the mates of the kid that asked are like WOAHHH U GOT DISSED BRUV... paha.

Good luck and dont let it get to you

don't get me wrong gay people are fine, more than fine our drama teacher is gay and he's awesome

I can understand why they might be calling you gay...

As for the girls avoiding you, there all either butch lesbians or schools work completely different to the uk over here. Over here all the gay guys hang around with the girls.

Maybe your just really camp?

Just wait a few years lad, it'll all change.

Lol! No, this has nothing to do with your sexuality. :P As for the other kids; if you have a girlfriend and they don't, just bring that up next time they call you it. Also don't appear to get worked up about it because that will only make them do it more and may even make it appear like it's hitting a nerve because it's true and will just fuel the situation. Just say whatever and walk off with your girl :8
