I was wondering on how to get to our prom? I dont really want to get the usual limo.
We always have people turning up in a fire engine or a old bus.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
It got to be for 10 people...

You've left it quite late and to be fair there is nothing original to be done anymore. It's all been done somewhere and you usually have to book a long time in advance for some of the best stuff. I love how people think tanks and fire engines are original, I know of two fire engines and two tanks going this year so far.
London Buses are quite good and quite cheap, but you're reliant on finding 15 other people and getting them to pay, which is no easy task.
I was invited to go with some mates in a stretch New York taxi which is pretty good and there's not many around...

Might be worth looking into.
I also looked into Segway hire, however it's about £120 per person, which is a bit too expensive for my liking.
Don't bother. It's just tacky. You'll grow out of the idea in 2 years time like everyone did for the 6th form prom.

The year 11 prom is pretty meaningless. The sixth form prom is the closest to the US one. Some people came to that in a chopper.

in a hackney carriage. trust me, it looks pretty smart from the outside when you roll up to the hotel and it's cheap as chips, or as far as it is from your house. few friends and stuff.

It's only late depending on when it is. Mine was in like July lol
I went to mine in a 2006 Porsche 911, through family. My friend went in an old Corvette. Everyone else went in limos. I think my sister is going in a Rolls Royce this year. I have seen someone arrive by helicopter.

Why were you in there for 18 hours!? You didn't have the bloody prom in the car, did you?
Sunny.

It was booked for 18 hours, though we didnt actually stay in there for 18 hours.
Our school prom was rubbish, or more to the fact that we didnt like the type of music etc so we
went to a different party which was organised by a few people in our year at this club.
So overal we spent around 13 hours in there.
Thats taking in concideration, all our stops, the party, and our visit to star city [birmingham]
But yeh....

I went in a white stretch limo, but a couple of people from our year arrived in; a helicopter, a pink barbie scooter, and a ride on lawnmower. Most of the others were just Limos though.

I went in a Nissan Micra.
I don't get a prom :'( but if I did I'd just get a bus or get a lift from a parent. don't see the point of anythin else rly.

I can just imagine myself turning up to a hotel in the middle of london and parasail down from the chopper... lol
if i was gonna go to mine, id ride a bmx and put all the protective gear on just for giggles and maybe purposley fall off just as i get there... Itd get a few chuckles

Can't remember year 11. In sixth form I turned up in one of these babies;

Got a lift off a mate's dad. Probably the same for year 11 too. Don't have a clue what yous are all on about - everybody was inside a few floors up anyway so it's not like people saw us arrive (even if it mattered).

Me and a few friends from School are catching the local bus, which drops us off right out side the venue.

I don't see why splash out on bloody transport? When you could just get a lift or...
TAKE THE BUS.
But then again depends.
