Mod Warnings

What are the point of mod warnings as they dont scare anyone just makes the mod look silly to me :) Explain to be the 'point' only

Well it's all in the title isn't it? It's a WARNING that you have broken the Forum Rules.

They explain what you have done wrong, where and what action was taken (IE if the thread was closed or moved etc)

Failure to stop breaking rules after your WARNING results in more action been taken, involving admin.

like anyone can get one and still do what they want :l
Also some 'warnings' dont have half the content its meant of had

Yes you're right, anyone 'can get one and still do what they want' but as I mentioned in my previous post, if they continue breaking the rules then admin will be involved.

Why not just ban :l stops alot of people and makes it more fun :D

It depends on the offence, some people are banned straight away, some people we feel deserve another chance but need a little bit more than a warning and are therefore cautioned.

cautioned is hardly ever used, it usually just goes to a straight ban :) the mods and admins act more maturely than most hobbas and habbo staff "/

it dpends... if u double post a couple of times u will get warnings but not a straight ban. but if u swear alot then continue swearing after being warned ur likely to get banned

There isn't a set number of warnings you have before you're banned. All warnings are recorded and if we notice a member has a large amount of warnings then we report it to an admin who will look into it.

It also depends on what the offence was, for example somebody who breakes the Forum Rule "A16. Do not put more than 30 characters in your Location for your profile" wouldn't be treated as harshly as someone who repeatedly swore for example.

You also have to take into consideration that some people don't know they're breaking the Forum Rules -- which is another reason why we warn via PM.

Mm, I always send warnings. It's part of mods job. A lot of new users start double posting..etc, and if you warn them it's 99% they will get ''scared'' and they'll stop doing it but there are always some users who ignore the warnings and I don't suggest that it doesn't end good. I warn people so they know what they did wrong and they won't keep repeating their mistakes, if they do I'll take further actions agaisnt them..I get rude replies sometimes to warnings I sent and I really don't reccomend doing that. :8
We got new sytsem now and we can check how many times you got warned..(mods will know what I'm on about) and if warnings will keep coming you'll just get banned probaly.

We now have a system for mods, that lets them post in your user notes.
This means if you break a rule now, they will post it in your usernote with ceartin details, if we then feel you have had too many warnings you will be cautioned or banned.

:( Don't be mean. Anyway I like didn't set the rules that a moderator should sent a warning but I think it's also a good thing. If you'll keepp braking the rules we can see now how many times you got warned and you'll get banned if you'd keep braking them..and I personally would like to know where I've broke the rules so I know what I did wrong and when, if we wouldn't warn people I bet they'd went;'' OMGZZ!!11!! why did I get banned if you never even warned me.'' :8 and just because of this topic nothing will change my dear Woof.
