Quicker to travel from Australia to England then England to Australia?

It would take around 22hrs 45mins from Sydney to London and would also be very similar going from London to Sydney. It does take a while to get there due to where it is in the world and also you do have a stop over which adds up to the time I believe. Although this is an estimate as it could be shorter/longer due to weather but it is around 22-24 hours.

Edit: I believe the rotation of the Earth has no effect on the travel time of an aircraft.

I doubt it rotates at a fast enough speed to affect it. Wind-speed and direction should be considered however.

Yes but he asked about the rotation of the earth. Weather (including wind) and jet streams do make flight times slower/faster. :P
