So are you?
As for me,I'm really bothered and I get jealous especially when I'm close to them. But nothing too serious like formulating plans to take em down lol :P

Just jealous and hope that I can outnumber them one day :)

Sometimes,I feel like a loser lol >.< :(

no, i always get better lol i'm not being bigheaded but i do.
though once in english (my fav at school) for our mocks one of them beat me, just made me try harder for the real thing and bingo, so probably but i don't really have to worry about it.

Not at all. Most of my friends are more mathematical then I am so instead of throwing a huff I generally ask them for help. Likewise they know I am more adapted to computing and analytical work and will ask my advice on that in return.

I suppose if I do worse I take it as a failure of myself rather than putting my energies into being annoyed at them :)

Not really i never cared who was better than me or not, When i were in school if they were better i were jus like yer w.e nerd cos it never used to bother me and i never thought it would matter if my grades were so crap. Only now do i realise that i should have tried harder and now im jealous that i spent most of my time messing about instead of paying more attention.

nah not really because they work for it when I don't. Sometimes when I do work and still do worse than my friends I get angry at myself, rather than jealous of them though.

When they constantly go on and on about it, then yes it annoys me.

If my friends do well I am very pleased for them but when it gets to the point of rubbing it in my face that's when I get a little 'meh' about it :P

A little... Somethings its like you put more effort in and they dont.... yet they still get better

That annoys me :)

Yes I too agree. Either this or when I can tell it was obviously graded too high.

It annoys me if they cheat and end up with a decent mark. However it's worse when people complain that they're failing and it's always someone else's fault. From up on my high horse I can see that it's the people who don't put in the work that don't get the grades.
I don't exactly get annoyed when my friends get better marks, even though our group is quite the mixed bag in terms of ability, rather it's nice knowing that your friends are intelligent. Besides its not usually the case that they beat me ;)

I used to when I was at school. This diminished in college, though I did envy some people their brains and the universities they could apply to I guess. Not that I let them see that :P Now I don't care, I am only bothered when I let myself down with a mark on something when I know I can do better.

i dont care what i get in comparison to them
nor really what i get in general. obvs when its proper exams i care but not like mocks and stuff. the last like 4 ict mocks i've got a u through not bothering at all

No, I use it to help me instead. If they do better, I have to ask myself why. Normally, it's because they stuck to the question, they put in examples. Just reading their 'feedback' box means I can use it to improve my essays too. Also, it feels better when you improve :)

The only thing that annoys me is when they get As and think they've done terrible and need to resit. :(

We all achieve around the same grades anyway, and the odd one or 2 that don't, well, i just think of it like this - they may get better grades, but we are the people with a social life & a personality

Yeah that really annoys me! There's this kid called jack and he thinks he's really amazin cos all the teachers grade him higher because his mum is in the PTA and stuff. And when people rub it in, like I failed an exam to get into a school, and everyones like "I'm more intelligent than you! Haha!" and then I think that I'm crap, and when I was in yr 3-5 and a bit now, I started getting a complex because of comments like that. But now I own them at every subject apart from maths, but the job I want doesn't require maths (well basic maths) but its writing so, I guess it only requires basic maths, and I love reading, so I own them at reading. But it still sort of gets me down because almost everyone in the class is good at maths apart from me.

In my 'group' we are all pretty clever (not being a big head lol) and are in the higher groups for subjects. I am not as clever a few of my friends it does bother me sometimes but I don't mind really. :)

GOD,I hate it when one of your mate gets A and still think they done bad >.<

Like we had this chemistry exam once, really hard and everyone was moaning including one of the bright student.

So,we were proper gutted seeing she said it was hard as we are not so bright as her loool :P

Eventually,she got A still! -.-'

I feel like killing her lmao ;)

They're better than me at Maths, but I'm better than them at English. We've all got into the same 6th Form at a Grammar School so there isn't really any competition :P

I couldn't care less, I'm not far off most of my friends anyway. I'm only concerned about doing well enough for the grades to get into uni, if my friends want to do better or worse than me then great!

Shar

If they're doing better than me fair enough, it's just a eye opener that I need to try harder, but at the end of the day I'd be happy that they're doing well :)

No i don't care because school was crap. I mainly went to pass (i didn't care about levels and such) and to see friends..

Hahahah Yes I got jealous a lot too, but as long as you keep that green eyed monster to yourself I think a bit of jealousy is only human. I had a friend who was amazing at drawing, he always got A grades in art and product design. He was great. As for me, I've never been an over achiever or an under achiever - I'm average, so there is always people above and below me.

I didn't have any friends that I "competed" with as such, and I wasn't really bothered when people got higher grades because i knew i excelled in a different area than them.
but my (twin) sister pushed me along and made me work a bit harder, especially when we were younger that's for sure.
