Over the course of a month, tens of developers have gone head to head in community polls. It happened last year and it was a nice little bout of friendly competition.
But now, our little piece of paradise has gone.

Now I ask of each and every one of you HXF gamers to hold the line.

You all know the mission, and what is at stake.
I have come to trust each of you with my life -- but I have also heard murmurs of discontent. I share your concerns.
We are trained for gaming; we would be legends, but the records are sealed. Glory in battle is not our way.
Think of our heroes;
Geoff Keighley, who defeated Fox News with a single quip.
Or Tim Ingham, who kept audiences at bay with honest facts.
These giants do not seem to give us solace here, but they are not all that we are.
Before the internet, there was Nintendo Power. Before Steam, there were gamers!
Our influence stopped the casuals, but before that we held the line!
Our influence stopped the Alan Titchmarsh show, but before that, we held the line!
Our influence will stop Zynga; in the battle today, we will hold the line!
