Ok, ive got a Windows 7 disc here, its already in use but would i be able to still use it on my laptop that has windows vista on even though the key is being used by my desktop computer?

Also because my laptop is from HP, and has alot of HP programs such as HP solution centre and HP total care advisor, would it be ok to install a fresh clean windows 7 on this HP computer and not have all the HP programs?
Like would my internet still work etc?

+Rep to all people who answer postively.
Oh, and its a HP G60 laptop, if thats any help. :D

Not sure about using two keys, but if you clean install Windows 7 on an HP computer it will not doing anything - the HP programs will not be there, but your internet will work (Windows should use default generic drivers, then find any sort of specific drivers in an update). Any webcams should work too, though you may need the program HP Webcam (or something like that) to use it for taking pictures/videos (MSN should be fine though) :)

WAT is going to throw up issues with the key being used on two systems.

Also if you did a clean install, Windows 7 grabs most drivers it needs it self, if it doesnt then just install the individual HP drivers and then programs if you need to.

well could i just downgrade somehow back to vista on my desktop, and use the windows 7 disk on this laptop?
and are you saying its safe to install a fresh copy non HP, on a HP laptop?

Just use a Vista disc with the original Vista key on the desktop, and yes it is safe to use a non-HP Windows 7 on a HP laptop :)

I upgraded my dv6 to Windows 7 with their upgrade kit through the Upgrade Program, and I received a driver disk with all the (admittedly unnecessary and crap) HP programs and drivers on. You can obtain them from the HP website for your model, and since that scheme was available for the G60, Windows 7 drivers WILL be available.

EDIT: I phrased that a bit confusingly.

Basically.

All the programs are available from HP's website, and so are the drivers. Your update should work (yes, it's a should), but it all depends on your circumstances.
