Part II is widely considered better than the original. I think the original is one of the most boring films I have ever seen. There is so much fat on that film that could have been trimmed. Part III is grossly underrated.
I have seen every film on that list. I absolutely love how they included Pink Flamingos - that's hilarious. Not sure why the Dollars Trilogy isn't on that list, though, when Once Upon a Time in the Wild West is.
The Exorcist is one of the most controversial horror films of all time, and I believe it deserves its place on that list.
As for Bambi, it's a kids classic and an excellent film. It's in its rightful place.

Agreed! So should Toy Story 1.

Nah. The films in that list above are in the fabric of film. Toy Story is great, but in comparion to that list? The Lion King is worthier.

ESB but not A New Hope? For technical revelation alone ANH should be there. Any where's Die Hard? Not a film list without McClane.
Misawa

A New Hope should be there, despite The Empire Strikes Back being regarded as a better film.
Die Hard is a classic action film, but would be way out of place on that list.
12 Angry Men?
The Dark Knight?
Alexx..

12 Angry Men?
The Dark Knight?
This is a fairly old list so i'm guessing thats why the dark knight isnt on there? but don't count me on that.

2001: A Space Odyssey is a very interesting film, and I highly recommend that people watch it before they die.
Misawa

The Dark Knight isn't on there because, A. It's overrated and B. It's not in the league of that list.

Quadrophenia should be on there... Just because.
Alexx..

http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/100-movies-to-see-before-you-die.html I found a new list with most of the films people suggested on.
Saving Private Ryan. I've never actually saw the film and that's reminded me to buy the Blu Ray, thanks alexx

The Shawshank Redemption? Forrest Gump? Se7en?
Misawa
08-04-2010, 11:52 PM
Agreed on the first two.
Shaw shank Redemption? Possibly one of the best films ever made. EVER.
and didn't see the post above and ofc Forrest Gump
The Shawshank Redemption? Forrest Gump? Se7en?
All of them except maybe Gump.

Bambi without a doubt deserves its place and I also agree with all these;
Annie Hall
Chinatown
Dirty Harry
E.T.
The Empire Strikes Back
Fargo
Fight Club
The Godfather
The Godfather part II
Gone With the Wind
GoodFellas
A Hard Day's Night
Jaws
The Road Warrior: Mad Max 2
Once Upon a Time in the West
Pulp Fiction
Schindler's List
The Searchers
Singin' In the Rain
Some Like It Hot
Taxi Driver
The Wizard Of Oz
That's just the ones I've seen. There's plenty there I haven't yet seen but know have a good reputation.
Shawshank has been mentioned but I would have expected a few others such as Raiders of the Lost Ark, Bullitt, The Green Mile, The Big Lebowski, Into the Wild but perhaps some of them are too modern for a list of such classics.

stand by me and billy elliot should be on it
but maybe i'm just a sucker for coming of age films
or young boys

All of them except maybe Gump.
Gump is a legendary film!

Yeah, Forest Gump is something I only saw fairly recently but definitely lived up to the hype it always had before I ever saw it.

Nosferatu and Metropolis yet no Passion of Joan of Arc, interesting.
I'd also stick my head out and say Annie Hall isnt the best Woody Allen, Manhattan pips it for me.
Mad Max 2 is a welcome edition, i love that film

I wish I never watched all the Jaws films.
I refuse to swim in the sea at all. Baby much? I'm so paranoid. :(
Misawa

The film had that affect on an entire generation.
