Hi there,

I've got an LG KP500 with Virgin Mobile, with 5 months remaining on the 18 month contract. The phone keeps giving me hassle (crashing) and I've had a replacement - it continues to do it.

I've spotted a really t nice looking Samsung Galaxy Portal at T-Mobile at a great price, and I'm wondering the early termination fee at Virgin Mobile. Would it cost a lot to cancel? Would I be better off living with the crashing for another 5 months?

I know a lot of carriers offer a flat termination fee, that can be paid, instead of paying each month off your contact (which would be £48 for me).

Has anybody done this?

Thanks, Matt.

Sorry to bump, but has anyone else done this?

Thanks, Matt.

It's generally 1.5x the line rental on the months remaining.

But if you're willing to pay the termination fee then I'd say just go for it, or if you can, wait it out for the last few months.

Just remember T-Mobile's coverage is as bad as Virgin's (same network) until they merge with Orange :P
