Pokemon soul silver gyms

i have tryed to do the 8th gym (dragon pokemon) for about 1 week and i just can not do it? any tips.

Dragon, Electric and Ice types should kill Clair's Pokemon.

Kingdra = Weak to Dragon
Gyarados = Weak to Electric
Dragonair = Weak to Dragon & Ice

I actually still need to beat her, but I had 2 Gyarados with Dragon Rage and a Pikachu ready for her. Gonna try and get an Ice type before I get to her though.

You'll want something a bit stronger than Dragon Rage lol, 40hp guaranteed is far less than any decent move that they aren't resistant to. Ice is your best bet if you've not just power levelled your way to being far stronger than anyone can stand up to - wait til friday to get Lapras or try to nab a Jynx from the Ice Cave if you want one that looks cooler :P

I just beat her last night :P

All my Pokémon were level 40 or above.

Kingdra - Used Ampharos with Thunder Punch and Thundershock
Gyarados - Ampharos with Thundershock (Gyarados is Water/Flying type therefore very weak to electric)
Dragonair - Feraligatr with Ice Fang

Using Exp Share on the Pokémon you are training is great for quickly working it up ;) My Vulpix raised 20 levels in under an hour

Give the choice specs to an ice type (although mine was a sedra) and use that to defeat the dragonaires.

As for kingdra, use perish song, and switch out.

I caught Mareep south of Violet City early on in the game and then raised him to be Ampharos (Level 68 just now I believe). Mareep can be found at Route 32, Route 42 and Route 43

Edit: Ampharos is also a really good help when it comes to Elite Four :P

I really had no problem with using my level 54 feraligatar. I beat all her pokemon within one or two moves of Ice fang or Crunch. I also used NeverMeltIce to increase the power of ice fang.
