Rooney is a world class player at the moment, his form would put him in current top 10 for me.
I just put Higuaín for fun, he's just one of my favourite players. And plus, he has 24 goals in 24 league games in La Liga.
I'd probably put Kaka as the tenth player

I'd say that's it's v. hard to pick a top ten, specially with the outstanding talent shown in modern football. Messi is awesomeee, same with Rooney who is better than he's even been. Ronaldo is still one of the best, Tevez is on firee. Lampard and Gerrard are still world class. Puyol is still hanging in there, Fabregas. Buffon, Cech.

Anyone who knows anything about football can see Gerrard hasn't been THE Gerrard this season so using this season's stats alone to compare him to another player is a bit stupid.
