I want to know weather trading/batteling over wi-fi is included in the game?

And I know nintendo use Friend codes. How do I get mine?

You get the Pal Pad from someone in the downstairs of a Pokemon Centre, after beating the first Gym Leader. I think Battling is upstairs and wi-fi club/wi-fi plaza is downstairs.
