Dawkins respects all faiths. I'm in flux between Christian and Agnostic, and whenever I see the Pope voice utter words of ignorance, I can't help but wish this would happen.

If it does play out; it will be greatest achievement in new world faith since Darwin walked the Earth.

That letter the pope signed in the 80s (Before he was pope) stating that keeping the paedo priest a secret in the interest of not hurting the churches good name was shocking :o

I think that anybody covering up anything like this is just as guilty if not more guilty due to having the power to resolve the issue which would have then made it look like they were serious about cleaning the church up. There have been stories of paedo priests moved from their job to churches in poor 3rd world countries where they were left free to carry on their abuse :o The pope and the people covering this up in the vatican and churches worldwide are disgusting dirty paedo supporting individuals who are no better than the perverts themselves. We should make an example of the pope and nail him on the cross next easter (nail gun to the head will do).

The Church is a big organisation that put its reputation before the interests of its followers. They are not the first and will not be the last but that doesn't make it right. Something must be done!

However, the title of this thread did make me lol. I imagined Dawkins in a police uniform and going "YOU'RE NICKED!"

I'm not sure I agree with blaming the religion itself for the crimes because that's like finding out a teacher is a paedo an blaming the whole country's schooling system. However I'd be amazed and probably shocked to see this actually happen.
