Well, last night me and a few friends in real life were at a party and were discussing the "T-Cake" as I call it. We started an argument about it which was very amusing about if it's called a "T-Cake" or a "Muffin". Either way, I still think a Muffin is something you cut in half and toast, and a T-Cake is something you have with a burger, bacon sandwich and others? It confuses me, so is it a T-Cake or a Muffin?!

Yeah, That's a muffin in the case I'm talking about.
A Tea Cake doesn't have fruit in it?! That would be a Hot Cross Bun?

Tea cake.
That just looks like bread.
I call them both muffins; the cake thing and the breakfast thing. The only thing I really think about as tea cakes are these;

..but that's probably just a brand name for those.

no dear, you put burgers in a bread roll/bap
A tea cake is a bread bun that contains raisins that is usually toasted with butter on as they have some flavour (similar to a hot cross bun), a toasting muffin is also bread that you toast but sometimes people put poached eggs in (ie. McDonalds Sausage & Egg McMuffin) or jam on as they're otherwise tasteless.
