Starting this week we’ll begin combining the databases of the various Habbo Hotels (.com, .com.sg, .com.au, co.uk (http://co.uk/) and .ca).
The first stage of this will involve Habbo names. This update is planned to start tomorrow; and we'll let you know when it has happened in your Hotel.
When you sign into Habbo after the update you may see an additional character, such as an '*'. For your convenience, here's the list of characters per country:
US: $
CA: &
UK: #
AU: ^
SG: *
Once you have logged in and entered the hotel, you will be asked if you want to keep this new name or change it altogether. If you want to change your Habbo name you will be able to do so, however your potential new name will be checked against all the English speaking sites for availability. As already stated, the most active user across all five sites will be the user who gets to keep their name. The others will have to change. Even though countries will be getting this update at different times this week, that doesn't mean the first country will have 'first pick' of names.
You should start using Habbo ID as soon as possible so that you can log in to Habbo using your email as a username.
This will make it easier for you to remember your account details if you’re prompted to change your Habbo name.
To make more names available to you, next week we’ll also be deleting Habbo accounts that contain no Furniture or Credits and have only been used once.
Finally, if you currently have the same name across a few Hotels it will be possible to combine your accounts into one, once the relaunch has been completed.
The next update will be on May 3rd, in the meantime be sure to check out our FAQs for more information about the upcoming relaunch!
