Conflicting Names

It was announced that today that any names that conflict will either stay the same (for the most active user), however the other users will have a special character added to them.

E.G, All users aclled Jack would either be Jack, Jack#, Jack$ and various over symbols.

Habbo also deleted all accounts that had no Credits, Furni and had only logged in once, so alot more names will be avaliable.

Suppose this really doesn't tell us anything new seeing as they told us last week the most active player would keep their name and the rest gets to change their name. No compensation for changing name though which was on the table I believe. Merging might be possible and a name clear out, sounds good to me :)

Although if anyone has an account that fits the criteria of "no Credits, Furni and had only logged in once" it might be worth seeing if you can login into it.

I'd love to know how they're going to make it fair for everyone in different time zones though.Sadly they're not, they're all going to become available at once, so while Habbo thinks that's fair, chances are it'll be done during a European afternoon, so all the Singaporians & Australians will be in bed and only the Americans/Canadians up early will be able to grab the decent names. Of course that's great for UK users though, especially as lots of us are on holiday too. I assume European afternoon seeing as it'll be headed from London & Helsinki as ever.

That's a shame for those who will miss out I guess. I think I'll try and look out for a new name for my accounts on hotels if there's no guarantee of a merge.

well what i think is happening is tomorrow around 12 the hotel will go for a matinece and when it come back up you are asked if you want to change your name. and thats its tbh :P

Most names that only logged on once will be really stupid ones like:

or

XxCutezzzzGirllsss4lifeeeexX

Or stupid things like that i can't really see many decent names freed up through this, but i suppose Habbo can't just delete all account that aint logged on in 3 years cos they may have loads of furni on em n if they delete it and that person come back, they will kick off that all there stuff has been deleted.

I've heard that people have already had a message asking them to change their name, but knowone seem to have #'s on there names

by the way guys the accounts have been deleted (but yes, unmakable) since march 31st I haven't just made that up btw that's an exact date because I checked all this out then lol so it's not as much of a recent thing as some of you think. Hopefully we can remake soon though, it said next week or something in an article.

During the last username clear-out, I bet loads of people created new accounts and put like one coin in their hand to prevent it being deleted. Spiteful, but most people are like this on Habbo.

It's really hard to get a unique name, think about it on every hotel (uk, com, sg, au, ca) there has to be that user thats been registered, only been on once, no furni or hc or anything. The likeability of that is very small and there arent any good names left

I'm guessing it won't give you the option, like it will for those with conflicting names, because, there are still very limited names left, and people who's name arn't confilicting, well, they don't need to change it, taking up more names.

But I agree that this combination has made finding a really good username almost impossible. Argh!
