I was watching this with some friends last night, it's quite an old film but it's so weird.

A story about a troubled boy growing up in England, set in 1983. He comes across a few skinheads on his way home from school, after a fight. They become his new best friends even like family. Based on experiences of director Shane Meadows.
It kind of shows you what it was like back then, the racism makes me sick.
The mother in it looked like my mum when she was in her 20's. Oh god.
Anyone else watched this film?

Yeah it's quite interesting to see the attitudes and cultural differences in the 80s. I also found the film quite interesting as most of it was filmed in Nottingham and a local secondary school so I knew many of the film locations.

I felt it was a good film and well worth watching but it kinda missed having any morals? Don't be racist is about the only one :P
