Think I am ordering this later, not going ith virgin as we don't have fibre optic yet so no point.
However does anyone know what the range is like with the hub they supply? Like it's range? Had quick look on their website bu they don't mention it..?

I switched to BT y'day (so there's no hassle when I move house next week). Anyway the Home Hub we got which is 2.0 is an N range so about 70m indoors (according to wikipedia anyway :P).
Previously with Sky router I had little signal for my iPod touch, the router was in the centre of the house. But now I get almost 100% signal for it. Same applies to my PS3 really.

Ah that should be fine then (for me anyway) - thanks! My concern was just due to it having internal signal things (their name escapes me) instead of having signal sticks outside.
Sorry the name for the antennae things escape me (unless you call them antennae? :P)

Range with hub is different in each household.
Many houses are soft walls where some some places have thick soild walls which can limit the range as it oppose it says on the box.
Many more reasons why range can go low or not as great, depends on the household and whats inside such as what equipment ect

HomeHub is pretty crap if im completely honest (range is fine as said above), it does the job but it's not a patch on a normal Linksys router or whatever.
Not had any problems with it or anything, it's just not very feature rich! :P

Only bothered about range and speed tbh - sadly the fastest any companies offered for my area is 6-7mbps lol. The downside to living in a smaller community lol. My current router is some **** belkin - range sucks - I mean my home isn't small, but I still expect atleast 3 bars..

I've got a black homehub, and I can say that its wireless capabilities leave much to be desired.
Currently using a wireless repeater.
