Help with phone screen i think

For some reason my phone randomly just turned black (the screen)

I havnt dropped it or anything, it was really low on battery but still.

I heard it beep as i had a message then tried to view and it wouldnt come on.

I can press play on the side (nokia 5310) and it will play music but still nothing visible.

I've charged it as well.

Really annoying.

ANy thoughts?

It need a reset or a software update. Alot of nokia music or xpressmusic phones have trouble. If it's under warranty (less than a year old) take it back to where you bought it and they'll repair it free of charge - it's a manufacturing fault.

Nahh it's not under warranty, over a year ive had it i think now.

How do i do this? Really dont wanna pay to get it fixed.

It keeps randomly flashing on and off once i;ve taken the memory card. Managed to keep it on to send a message but its off again now.

Oooer .. mine use to do that. It cost £30-40 to get it repaired

£30-£40? Bloody hell i might just get a contract and keep my number. Probably save me money anyway, just dont want nothing too long term and preferred to get sim only.

iv just updated the firmware and it did nothing, i've also just recieved a message which i cannot read, hmmmmmm, very anoying. I wonder what it is

Could try opening it up and checking the connections to/replacing the LCD.

Probably cost about £5-10 for a new one.
