I finish college in a month so I'm going to have a huge amount of spare time on my hands thus I'm planning on freelancing over summer, I've been messing around with Portfolio ideas and this is my latest one:

I couldnt really think of something to do for the services I dont think I'll be keeping this in if I go ahead with this portfolio design, if anyone has any idea please post them, cheers :)

The main idea behind this is a simple one page portfolio, so when someone hovers over the about me button the examples of work will be replace with what you see on the about image above, when this click contact the page will scroll down to what you see on the contact page, its pretty basic but I kinda like it.

This is a completely new style for me so I'm not really sure if I should use it as my portfolio as Vector Artists (and I'm in not way a Vector Artist) can produce some amazing stuff and this looks amatur at best but I need to know what people think so please say truthfully :)

The "dummy" image I used in this is another Portfolio idea of mine, if I bother to finish it, its most likely you'll find it floating around here.

I don't really like the whole idea of a room to be honest.

I like the idea of a room, I'm just not sure if I like the way you've done it. I think the room should at least have a laptop in there or something.
Also, there's a wire running to the socket, but no plug.
The header thing could do with a bit more work, at the moment it just looks rushed and boring.
The cushions should probably be moved a bit closer to the center so they look like they're resting on the arms of the sofa, not cutting into it. I'm not sure if I explained that properly.
Conclusion: I like the idea, but it needs a bit more work.

Okay, Thanks for the feedback :)

Im not really any good with this style so I didnt' wanna over flow the room with stuff which look even worse then the stuff already there

Arhh  I have done it but its set to invisable on the PSD I must of hit it by mistake, thanks :)

I wanted to keep it pretty simple so I'm not really sure what I could add to the header. (I'm keeping it simple as I've been looking at alot of other portfolio and simple seems to be the trend) but if you have any ideas I'd love to try them out!

Yeah I get you, I used an actual sofa as an outline but when in block colours it does look like its slicing through, instead of moving them I'll most likely just create new cushions/sofa all togeather

Thanks alot :)

If you are going to stick with the room idea, its pretty good.

Its quite a good idea but try and make the room look more modern.

Very strong and original concept with some nice illustration but the typography seriously lets it down. Try looking for some typography articles on the usual blogs such as Smashing and Abduzeedo and try to modernize it a bit. Good start though, well done!

No offense, but I'm used to seeing you design nice things. Now when I see this I get another feeling. You can do better.
I think the idea is good, but the outcome isn't.

Yeah I have never really stepped out of my comfort zone so now I'm trying to get better in my weaker aspects and as you can see from this it isnt going too well :P
