AVI to IPOD

Hey :) I've downloaded a movie to my computer but its .avi and i can't seem to find a converter to get it from .avi to IPOD touch format.
Any help? the film is around 700mb.

HandBrake, anything? Its just avi to mp4 or m4v, nearly every video converter I know of does to .mp4.

so mp4 is ipod touch video?

Yeah, apple use .m4v for things off the iTunes Store but they are literally the same, both work. Also 480x272 is the best resolution for iPT's.
